About Kussbus

Kussbus is a shuttle service providing daily commuting from home to work and vice versa. Kussbus's algorithm optimizes journeys and defines a common stop for several users, near their home or workplace. This operation ensures you economic prices and all this without change and with guaranteed seating.


Kussbus is easily manageable via the Kussbus-app:

1. Book a ride in the Kussbus-app. Indicate your point of departure, destination, date and time and choose from a number of possible rides. Book one-way or a round trip.

2. Get in-app walking directions. Your app guides you to your personal pick-up spot. As a general rule, you will have to walk less than 5 minutes to reach the stop.

3. Take your ride. Enjoy a business class experience and let Kussbus take care of your commute.

4. Arrive at work. Get dropped somewhere easily accessible near your workplace. Use in-app walking directions and find the fastest way to your workplace. As a general rule, you will have to walk less than 5 minutes to reach your destination.

5. Kussbus is flexible. Life is unpredictable – especially at work. Change your booking until the last minute. Be aware that it depends on the number of free seats available.

Kussbus is a mode of transportation for everyone who wants to commute in a more comfortable and eco friendly manner between home and work while using their time more wisely. With Kussbus, you no longer have to drive, find a parking space or stand uncomfortably in overcrowded public transport. With guaranteed seating in modern and air-conditioned buses, you can relax, read, listen to music or already work on the way to work.

Kussbus will be available as of April 2018, for rides from Arlon to Kirchberg and back. We are working on a gradual expand to new areas.

Kussbus brings you to your workplace Monday to Friday between 07:00 and 09:00 am (time of arrival at your workplace). After work, Kussbus will take you home between 4:00 and 8:00 pm (time of departure from your workplace). Please note that Kussbus does not operate during public holidays in Luxembourg.

As seats are reserved “first come, first served”, it is best that you book your journeys as early as possible. It will be possible to make a booking shortly before a bus’ departure, but always be aware that places are limited. 

No. All offered journeys operate independently of the number of passengers.

Currently, there is no extra on-demand service available.

Within your Kussbus-App, you will see where and when Kussbus will pick you up. With the integrated map, you will have no problem finding your pick-up point.

While booking, you determine the latest time you would like to be at work in the morning and the earliest time you would like to be picked up in the evening. We will compile your requests for your pick-up/drop-off location and time. The exact departure time and location of your Kussbus can be found in your app.

In order to save as much boarding time as possible, there are a minimum of stops to pick up or drop off passengers. Kussbus calculates common stops for a maximum of passengers living or working in the same area. A stop can be located at the crossroad between two streets for example. As a general rule, you will have to walk less than 5 minutes to reach the stop. In return, you will save travel time. The exact pick-up points will be shown to you in your Kussbus app after having made a booking

No, since we offer efficient service for several passengers, we can not wait for individual passengers. We appreciate your understanding. Please try to be at the stop at least one minute before your time. 

You can cancel your journey, but it will be on your own charges. However, Kussbus offers you the possibility to change your trip free of charge until the last second. 

In case of a delay, the Kussbus app will alert you minutes before your departure. Due to unpredictable traffic jams, not even Kussbus can avoid being late some time. 

The Kussbus-algorithm optimises the amount of stops at homes and workplaces to get you to work and back home as quickly as possible. The stops will be reduced to a minimum possible.

No. Kussbus is a door-to-door shuttle service.

No, because you are sharing a bus with other passengers who have the same destination.

No, you won’t be able to communicate directly with the driver. You can see in your app the real-time whereabouts of your Kussbus. You can communicate with us via our in-app-chat or via . Our team will be quickly available during operating times.

Yes. You will be able to follow the location and progress of your Kussbus live in the Kussbus-App.

Kussbus uses modern, air conditioned buses with up to nineteen comfortable seats and plenty of leg space. These buses are driven by qualified and experienced drivers.

You will receive the license plate of your  Kussbus in order to recognize it.

Our buses are all driven by experienced drivers and the buses are going to be repeatedly checked prior their departures in the morning.

We offer space for a backpack or a hand luggage. Unfortunately, we can’t transport bigger luggage.

You have a guaranteed seat while driving with us although you can’t choose where to sit.

Unfortunately, the possibility of avoiding traffic is the same as driving your own vehicle. However, Kussbus gives you back your time; time that you used to spend at the steering wheel or squashed in a train, will finally be used wisely with Kussbus. Board the bus, take a seat and relax.

No. Our clever Kussbus-algorithms dynamically generate common stops for several passengers. With use of this technology, Kussbus’ stops are reduced to a minimum possible to pick up new passengers. Kussbus takes note of your current travel time, respects this time while calculating your route and ensures that your daily commute will not be prolonged. Besides, you will no longer have to waste time looking for a parking space!

Inscription, Payment & Management of Account

Signing-in is mandatory for booking a ride. You can easily book, manage and pay your rides over our app and don’t have to fill in your contact information all the time. 

No, signing up is free of charge and without any obligation. You can cancel your sign-up at any time and delete your information.

You need to sign-up while using our app for the first time. It is an easy and quick process. Once signed-in you never have to sign in again while using the app on your current phone. Only if you delete the app or need to reinstall it, the app will ask you to sign-in again. 

The Kussbus app is available, free of charge, for Android and iOS operating systems in the respective stores (Apple Store and Play Store). There are currently no apps for Windows and Blackberry mobiles in the works.

The payments are made via credit card. You can register your card details in your personal, secured account and will not have to re-enter the information with each booking. You will  pay your journey as “pay-as-you-go”. Different subscription models will be available soon.

If you received a promo code, enter it in the app by going to: Profile -> payment -> "redeem a voucher".

For those of you who subscribed to our site in 2016/2017, enter the e-mail address you used for your subscription and the code you received.

No, you can not get a refund if you missed your Kussbus. To ensure a punctual timetable, your Kussbus can not wait for you.

Please try to be at the stop at least one minute before your time. 

Yes. To make a booking with Kussbus, you will need to download our app. It is impossible to book a journey without the app.

You can click on "Forgot my password" during the log-in and a link to restart your password will be sent to your account.

You can delete your account by sending us an email to [email protected]. We will ensure you that your profile and data will be deleted.

Data protection

To be able to offer you our service, we require some of your personal information. Rest assured that your personal data will be handled strictly confidentially and will not be shared with any third parties. If you need further information concerning the use of data please contact us via [email protected]

Kussbus will not save your credit card details on its servers. It transfers the encrypted information to a specialized payment service which saves and manages credit card details safely.
